  • **UPDATE**As of March 31st, the Dog Park has also been closed until further notice. Please remember to keep dogs leashed in all public places should you wish to walk your dog.
Please be obedient of any social and physical distancing requirements set forth by our state government officials. The sooner we properly adhere to these guidelines, the sooner we can get our cherished parks and amenities back online to the public. We are all in this together!

  • A message from the Parks & Recreation Department
    Saturday, March 28, 2020.

As we continue to face the many challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic, our number one priority is keeping the residents of Rocky Hill as safe as possible. In order to do so, the Parks & Recreation Department must enforce an appropriate level of park and school ground restrictions to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Effective March 28, we have closed all playgrounds at our parks and schools until further notice. The Playgrounds will be monitored for compliance.

We encourage you to walk in our parks, utilize our beautiful trails and green spaces. Through this outbreak, local parks, trails and open spaces have become even more of a haven and place of respite from the stresses of daily life and the uncertainty we face. We ask that you adhere to the guidelines set forth by the State of Connecticut, Central Connecticut Health District, CDC and the Town of Rocky Hill. Please remember to provide adequate room for physical distancing to protect public health and safety. All dogs must be on leashes.

As a friendly reminder, all basketball courts and fields remain closed.

We appreciate your continued cooperation in these unprecedented times.

Stay safe and be kind to one another!
    Craig A. Bowman
    Director of Parks & Recreation
