Brazilian Dancing Martial Arts (Capoeira)
Capoeira (pronounced cap-o-wed-a) is an art of self defense that is hidden in dance and played as a game inside a circle with live music and songs. Capoeira has a rich and important history and is enjoyed as a beautiful "dance". It develops strong, agile muscles, brings people together and invites people to express themselves. It provides health benefits, enhances self esteem, reduces stress and was created to build community. The Capoeira community continues to grow, as it spreads across the world.
It is a barefoot class. Wear loose clothes and bring water.
Instructors: Holly de Melo (Instrutora Tomate) and Mathuzalem de Melo (Instructor Tuzinho)
