HEPATITIS C SCREENING & PRESENTATION-Monday, May 20:

Screening: 12:30-1:00pm
Each participant will first have their Hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibody testing administered, via a quick finger stick. A HCV (Hepatitis C virus) antibody test is used to find out if someone has ever been infected with the hepatitis C virus. The HCV antibody test looks for antibodies to the hepatitis C virus in blood.

Presentation: 1:00-2:00pm
As we await results (about a half hour), our public health nurses will give a presentation about what hepatitis is, how it is transmitted and how to avoid contracting the virus. If the results are positive, the nurses will educate the participant and help link them to further testing and treatment. Please bring your insurance card.  

Specify when registering if you would like the screening, presentation, or both.
