The Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program teaches people of all ages and abilities to swim and be safe in, on and around water. The Water Safety Instructor course will teach instructor candidates how to teach Parent/Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics and the Learn to Swim program. Upon successful completion of the 30 hour course you will be certified as a Water Safety Instructor.
Must be age 16 and up, and pass a swim test at the first class. Attendance is mandatory at all 10 classes.
Certification requirements: Must complete online session, pre-course session, attend and participate in all course sessions, complete practice teaching assignments and pass final written exam.
