THE REST OF THE SESSION FOR THE JANUARY 7-APRIL 9 CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED. YOU WILL GET A CREDIT ON YOUR ACCOUNT FOR THE CANCELLED CLASSES TO BE USED FOR A FUTURE PROGRAM.
A DECISION WILL BE MADE IN EARLY APRIL ABOUT THE APRIL 21-JUNE 25 SESSION.
Participants learn the traditional art of Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate. You will learn the basics of Karate, blocking and striking, as it is still taught in Okinawa today. Students will also learn discipline, self-confidence and how to defend themselves. Class is done barefoot.
Beginner Karate is for students who are age 6-10 with no previous training
Advanced Karate is for students age 10 and up. Parents and their children age 10 and up can be in Advanced Karate together.
New students: Wear loose comfortable clothing. If you decide to pursue the sport after your first full session, you will need to purchase a gi (uniform). Peter will provide more information in class. No new students will be accepted after first 2 weeks of program.
