Brazilian Dancing Martial Arts (Capoeira)
Capoeira (pronounced cap-o-wed-a) is an art of self defense that is hidden in dance and played as a game inside a circle with live music and songs. It develops strong, agile muscles, brings people together and invites people to express themselves. Capoeira has a rich and important history. It retains a playful quality and is enjoyed as a beautiful "dance". The Capoeira community continues to grow, as it spreads across the world. It provides health benefits, enhances self esteem, reduces stress and was created to build community.
