Yin Yoga with Sound Healing: In Yin Yoga postures are seated or supine and are held for longer periods of time (3-5 minutes). Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. The class is accompanied by the live sounds of a Chau gong, bar chimes and a pure quartz crystal bowl. The vibrations produced by the sounds of these instruments have been known to help clear blockages in your chakras, which assists with proper flow of energy. Removing blockages, retuning chakras and bringing the brain to a more meditative state are some of the benefits of hearing these instruments in a live setting. It is advisable to dress comfortably and warmly in layers, and to not eat/eat only minimally for 2 hours before class. Instructors: Maria Swan and Doug Yeager. CLASS CANCELLED-WILL TRY AGAIN IN THE FALL
For all classes: Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Bring a mat and water bottle. Class is done barefoot. For residents only.
